Attorneys from Manson Bolves Donaldson Varn Selected as Florida Trend’s Legal Elite 2018

TAMPA, Fla. (April 9, 2019) – Douglas Manson, Laura Jacobs Donaldson, and Brian J. Accardo of the Manson Bolves Donaldson Varn (MBDV) law firm were named to Florida Trend’s 2018 edition of the Legal Elite. To compile the list, Florida Trend invited all actively practicing Florida lawyers to name attorneys that they hold in highest regard. The winners list represents just over 1% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida.

President and shareholder Doug Manson is responsible for the direction of the firm’s offices in Tampa, Tallahassee, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. He has more than 30 years of experience representing both private sector and government clients in water, environmental, administrative, and governmental law. Doug has represented a myriad of public supply, industry, business and agricultural clients seeking regulatory authorization for their operations. His other specialties within environmental law include water use and surface water permitting, sovereignty of submerged land, ordinary high-water line issues, and regulatory compliance and enforcement issues. Laura Jacobs Donaldson, a shareholder at MBDV, has been practicing law for nearly 21 years. She has represented clients before legislative and executive branches of government and agencies on growth management, environment, and local government issues. Laura also serves as general and special counsel for many local governments, including having served as General Counsel for the Southwest Florida Water Management District. In addition, she assists public and private interests with water and environmental permitting issues as well as drafting complex and technical interlocal agreements, contracts and other transaction documents. Laura is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Brian J. Accardo recently joined MBDV after serving as General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the South Florida Water Management District for the past three years. He brings 11 years of legal experience and nearly 20 years of total experience in legal and consulting services to his position as a shareholder. Brian focuses on environmental and energy matters, including air, water, administrative, and governmental law at the new West Palm Beach office.
