Amy Wells Brennan has extensive experience on legal issues related to regulation, water use and supply, and the environment. Most recently, Amy served as Deputy General Counsel for the Southwest Florida Water Management District. In her role, Amy served as lead counsel on permitting matters and complex litigation and appeals, representing the District before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in state and federal courts. She provided legal representation to the District on matters including regulation, water use and supply, land management and acquisition, human resources, sunshine law, public records, and ethics. Amy also served as the District’s lead attorney for the Central Florida Water Initiative. Prior to her employment at the District, Amy held positions in private practice and at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a Senior Assistant General Counsel.
