COLLIER COUNTY, FL –

The race is on in the search for oil in Southwest Florida. Two companies now have pending exploration applications with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

“All sorts of very important wildlife species to our area are utilizing those very same areas,” said Jennifer Hecker, Conservancy of SWFL Director of Natural Resource Policy.
